Ashok Leyland, a flagship company of Hinduja group, has inaugurated its Pantnagar plant which has got capacity to roll out 75,000 vehicles annually with provision for further expansion.
The company says CNC flexible roll forming technology has been introduced for the first time for frame manufacture which would offer manufacturing flexibility to form the entire variety of frames and accommodate future model requirements and design changes with no fresh tooling.
Set over 190 scenic acres, the Pantnagar plant of Ashok Leyland is also its largest manufacturing facility.
The company has invited its key vendor partners to set up shops in Uttarakhand to help provide better supply chain.
